Walden’s leadership and employees are shocked and deeply saddened at the death of an individual on our property. Our condolences to the loved ones who have lost a valued family member who was courageously seeking to overcome the devastating effects of this disease.
The Walden community is all too familiar with the despair and loss associated with active addiction. those who suffer and their family and friends are even more connected to the very real the emotional pain that can threaten families and rips at the fabric of our community. We mourn the loss of each individual, realizing we as a community is all hurt by it. each fresh loss is also a reminder of the ongoing struggle that we profoundly hope we as a community will overcome together.
The opiate epidemic is real, is devastating, and we are working tirelessly to educate the community and serve those in need of care as we are acutely aware of the vulnerability all families face. Each new courageous spirit who reaches out for help becomes a building block of our belief in the recovery of individuals, families and the community at large.
