Pyramid Walden is proud to offer a detox program at our location in Harford County. We are a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited treatment service provider that offers a full continuum of care. For some of our patients, this includes a detox process to help them get on the road to recovery.
The main goal of our substance use disorder detox program is to allow patients to begin their journey to recovery in a medically supervised environment that will make the transition safe and comfortable. The detox process often comes with uncomfortable and potentially dangerous side effects. These can include excessive nervousness or anxiety, insomnia, nausea, discomfort, mood swings, poor sleep, and difficulty concentrating. The detox process can be more complicated depending on the drug of choice. For example, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids often require a medically assisted detox to ensure safety.
Before attending one of our inpatient or outpatient programs, our medically supervised detox program is offered to help safely clear the body of toxic substances so our guests can begin to heal from their addictive patterns. Detox is so powerful because for many patients it is the first step towards a life-saving process. Patients who enter our detox program will experience the following benefits:
No matter what kind of addiction the patient might be suffering from, Pyramid Walden is equipped to handle the transition away from it and toward a healthy, recovered lifestyle. The medical professionals on our team are compassionate, understanding, and ready to help make the recovery process as smooth as possible.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction and needs to enter a medically assisted detox program, call us today at (301) 327-2555 or contact us online.
